Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented LatAm Talent Resource Manager to lead our engineering recruitment and talent allocation initiatives across Latin America. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in sourcing, hiring, and coordinating our engineering project portfolio within the region and will also oversee resource allocation, performance management, compensation planning, P&L management, reporting, and offboarding processes. This role will drive talent acquisition strategies and ensure that our engineering teams are given opportunities for growth.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and execute a robust recruitment strategy to attract top software engineering and data science talent in LatAm.

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and candidate evaluation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and cultural fit.

  • Collaborate with engineering managers at UP.Labs and our NewCo’s to understand staffing needs, forecast demand, and proactively source talent to meet project timelines.

  • Oversee resource allocation of engineering talent, balancing skills, availability, and project requirements to ensure optimal team utilization.

  • Manage the overall P&L for this cohort, including reporting up to UP.Labs technical and finance leadership

  • Drive performance management initiatives, including regular assessments, feedback sessions, and development plans for engineering team members.

  • Manage offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for departing team members and capturing feedback to continuously improve the employee experience.

  • Build and maintain relationships with talent pipelines and networks across LatAm, including universities, professional associations, and online platforms.

  • Regularly report on talent acquisition metrics, compensation reporting within the region, resource allocation effectiveness, and team performance to key stakeholders.

You should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition or human resources, with a focus on engineering recruitment in Latin America.

  • Proven expertise in recruitment strategies, candidate sourcing, and selection processes specific to engineering roles throughout LatAm.

  • Experience managing resource allocation, performance assessments, and team development initiatives.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with a commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.

  • Strong self-motivation, being able to identify valuable contribution areas with minimal management involvement and regularly suggest best practice improvements.

  • Familiarity with HR software, applicant tracking systems, and recruitment tools.

  • Proficiency in both Spanish and English (required).
